Neurodiversity has become an increasingly common topic not only in lived experience spaces but also in research settings. But how it is used in research settings is an ongoing discussion. This is a chance to talk about both the potential opportunities and pitfalls of the neurodiversity movement finding ground in scientific spaces. Could this be a way to integrate more lived experience knowledge in research? Are academic and clinical entities merely co-opting the language? What are the expansive possibilities and/or limiting restrictions of a Neurodiversity framework?
