NeuroTales RPGs
In addition to working on writing projects that are ongoing, NeuroTales is a space for the exploration of creativity through fun and interesting ways. All while having fun and community building! While we typically play a specific kind of game, this week we will continue to look behind the curtain. NeuroTales member Andrew will be walking us through the backend of his process, showing us how he comes to the storytelling and structural choices made during our RPG sessions. Then, we'll be able to work together to create a session/story of our own.
Pieces that shaped us/Pieces that Irk us
This week, we will be diving into some pieces that we have feelings about, one way or the other! For those unfamiliar, this is a session where we share pieces that are either important to us (or we just really like) or that we detest. This is a great chance to get to know each other better and learn about some new art.
Meet and Read
Meet and Reads are meetings where we share our work with other members of NeuroTales. After each share, we will take the time to provide feedback on the work and answer any questions the writer has.
If you would like to read or hear your piece read aloud, or would rather just listen and provide feedback you are welcome and encouraged to join
Sharing Best Practices: How to Create Pitches
We often have wonderful project ideas, but it can sometimes be difficult to figure out how to best communicate those ideas to partners, funders, or other potential collaborators. So, this Sunday we'll be brainstorming the best strategies to pitch our ideas to others.
Free Write
Writing alone can be hard, particularly during quarantine. That’s why we have Free Writes, sessions where we come together to write independently. We hold each other accountable for writing time and help each other out when we have thoughts or questions in the moment.

Art/Media Deep Dive
In this meeting, we will examine art and media through a Neurodivergent/Mad lens. We will bring in pieces of art that we have strong feelings about, and use that as a springboard for further discussion. I am excited to hear about the pieces you bring and your thoughts about them!

Writing Prompt
Sometimes it is useful to step away from the projects you’re working on and try something new. That’s why in this meeting we’ll be sharing pieces that we made based on a writing prompt provided earlier in the week. This is a great chance to explore writing in a way you may not have tried before. Happy writing!
NeuroTales Roundtable: Neurodivergent, Mad, and Disability language
We will be having a NeuroTales roundtable. Roundtables are a time for us to come together as a group and discuss a wide range of topics and ideas.
Today we will be talking about Neurodivergent, Mad, and Disability language. This is a broad topic with a lot of different angles, perspectives, and ideas. What are people's personal preferences, and how did they develop? How do we think the language we use impacts how the world understands ND/Mad/disability concepts? How can language be a freeing tool or a tool for violence?
I am very excited to have this conversation with you all and be in space with all of your lovely insights.
